My First Research Paper: The TimeNest Journey
By Viraj Dhaigude
Publishing a research paper has always been one of my dreams, and I’m excited to share that I successfully published my first review paper titled “Review Paper on Application TimeNest” in the International Journal of Engineering Research & Technology (IJERT).
What is TimeNest?
TimeNest is a smart productivity and time management application designed to help users prioritize tasks, stay focused, and manage daily routines more efficiently. The idea was to go beyond just creating a task list—we wanted to create an intelligent assistant that learns from your habits and boosts productivity using modern design and intuitive features.
The Writing Process
We started with thorough research on time management tools and productivity applications. Our review paper highlighted the challenges users face with current tools and explained how TimeNest can offer improved features and a better user experience. We followed a structured format:
- Introduction – The need for better productivity tools.
- Literature Review – Existing solutions and their limitations.
- Proposed Approach – The design and features of TimeNest.
- Conclusion – The impact and future scope of the application.
How We Published on IJERT
The IJERT publication process was smooth and beginner-friendly. Here’s how we did it:
- Formatted our manuscript using the IJERT template.
- Submitted the paper via IJERT’s online submission portal.
- Underwent a quick peer-review process (approx. 10–15 days).
- After acceptance, signed the Copyright Transfer Agreement.
- Paid the nominal publication fee and got published within a few days.
